Nokia bubbling on Windows Phone, prepping Tango-powered handset Champagne for launch

Won't take on high-end Lumia 800

Nokia bubbling on Windows Phone, prepping Tango-powered handset Champagne for launch
When analytics specialist Flurry detected iOS running on an unspecific slate device months before Apple unveiled had unveiled iPad, Steve Jobs wasn't all too pleased.

The suggestion Nokia is already testing new Windows Phone devices following the unveiling of its first two handsets, however, is unlikely to create quite so much drama.

Bubblin' hot

The new phone – which is reportedly dubbed Champagne – was spied by Windows Phone's unofficial social network I'm a WP7, with the device running OS build 7.10.8711 – the platform's next big update, otherwise known as Tango.

Nokia is yet to offer any official comment, though commentators have already suggested Champagne will more than likely be an entry-level device much like the Lumia 710, rather than the high-end Lumia 800.

Recent rumours suggest Nokia is also planning to give the Lumia 800 – which launches in the UK on November 16 – a major push in the US, thanks to a deal with AT&T to deliver LTE equipped handsets.
