Finnish developer Rovio Mobile has a strong relationship with Nokia, working on titles such as Bounce Boing Voyage for N-Gage.
It's also been quick onto Nokia's latest handset, the N900, releasing the updated Bounce Evolution, as well as a version of its excellent action puzzle game Angry Birds.
What's more surprising however is the reaction that release has received via the admittedly underpopulated Ovi Store compared to the version released on the completely over saturated Apple App Store.
"In the first week that Angry Birds has been on the Ovi Store, it has been downloaded almost as many times as the iPhone version in six weeks," says Rovio CEO Mikael Hed.
"Given that most N900 users haven't even used Ovi Store yet, we are confident there will be many more downloads in the months to come, and are sure the N900 version will be very profitable."
It is worth noting however that the N900 version of the game is currently free, while it costs 99c on the App Store. But the contrast in number of downloads via an fairly empty app store onto a device that's only just been released, and the downloads from a completely overflowing app store accessible by over 50 mobile devices won't be lost on game developers.
