Scoreloop launches iPhone community platform

Pushing on from pure challenges

Scoreloop launches iPhone community platform
Scoreloop has announced the launch of its Scoreloop Community for iPhone games developers and publishers.

It goes several steps further than its existing connected challenges system, which the company told us about in a recent interview.

The Community will include a dedicated iPhone app, from which players will be able to launch Scoreloop-enabled games, and browse community features.

They'll also be able to sign up friends to keep up to date with what games they're playing which use the Scoreloop platform.

Meanwhile, there's also a web widget that games developers can add to their own websites, showing high scores. Push notifications are also built into the platform for challenges.

"We're providing the most sophisticated and complete mobile social gaming platform making gaming more fun and allowing our developer 'partners' to increase their user base virally through friend invitations and more," says CEO Marc Gumpinger.

Like its existing platform, Scoreloop Community is free for developers, with Scoreloop looking to make money from microtransactions using its Coins virtual currency.

iPhone games already using the technology include Aeio, Bug Landing, Flying, GeoRain, Monster Mash, Orb, Sorty, Submarine, and Zombie Pub Crawl.
