TeePee Games social discovery platform set to top 20,000 beta users

Private beta planned for late Feb

TeePee Games social discovery platform set to top 20,000 beta users
Three months since TeePee Games was formed by former Player X CEO Tony Pearce, the firm's first attempt at a games discovery platform is approaching 20,000 sign ups.

The technology is set to roll out in private beta form towards the end of February, with the company claiming it's been able to foster such growth by encouraging new applicants to invite their friends.

Offering them the incentive of winning an iPad, TeePee Games claims user take up is accelerating fast.

Take off for TeePee

"It's highly encouraging to see so many people signing up, especially given that we only launched the registration at the beginning of February and have yet to kick-start our marketing campaign for the full launch in March," said CEO Pearce.

"This confirms the market need for the unique service we've designed, but even so, the extraordinary level of interest we've generated has been a real surprise."

Pearce says the platform, which will promote games across smartphones, social network and the web, sits somewhere between Amazon's recommendation engines and Apple's genius playlist.

A profile of the games each and every user has played across a multitude of gaming platforms will be compiled, with the platform using said data to recommend personalised games content as a result.

More information on how to sign up, or register interest to becoming a VIP beta tester, can be found on the firm's website.
