Having lifted the lid on its assault on portable platforms earlier in February, German middleware specialist Trinigy has confirmed it is to add support for NGP to the latest version of its Vision Game Engine.
Vision already has a base on both home consoles and Windows.
Its appearance on NGP, however, comes as part of its 'Vision on the Go' drive, which will also see support added for iOS later this year.
Next-gen engine
"SCE is known for producing powerful computer entertainment systems and handheld entertainment systems capable of delivering rich gaming experiences and eye-popping graphics," said Trinigy MD Dag Frommhold.
"With support for NGP, the Vision Game Engine gives developers a flexible, full-featured solution for speeding the creation of graphically superior, high-performance casual and hard-core games for portable entertainment systems."
New features for NGP include a refreshed character skinning system, full support for multi-touch, improved multi-threading, and an optimised renderer that takes full advantage of NGPs GPU cores.
Before being released into the wild, Trinigy says Vision Game Engine for NGP will first be shown behind closed doors at GDC 2011.
Those looking to book a slot are advised to contact Trinigy via the firm's website.
