Monetisation platform W3i has revealed that Android users are getting more comfortable parting with their cash.
According to its internal figures, the average revenue per conversion on Android has sharply increased over the last few months, rising from roughly 40c in May 2012, to 90c now.
In comparison, the company claims the average revenue per conversion on iOS stands at $1.10.

iOS is still in the lead, then, but W3i's numbers suggest the gap is fast closing.
According to W3i, this development means that Android developers with significant userbases stand to cash in, and as such, the company has announced a new strategic partnership with Temple Run developer Imangi.
The two-year partnership will see W3i's monetisation platform integrated into Temple Run on Android, a game that boasts more than 5 million daily active users.
Running with itIn practice, this means that Temple Run players will now be able to earn Temple Run coins by installing and playing titles from W3i's in-game mobile offer exchange wall, which aggregates offers from networks around the world.
"W3i is all about providing our developer partners a full-service approach," explained W3i co-founder Rob Weber.
"Temple Run is arguably the best game on the Android platform, and we want to ensure that the game maximises its revenue potential and that the advertising complements the gameplay experience."
