Such is the dominance of Apple's iPad, that commentators have begun to split the tablet market into two subsections: iPad and non iPad.
A look at figures derived from comScore's latest sweep of the market shows just why.
So huge is iPad's share of the market, that it's only when Apple's tablet is taken out of the equation is it possible to see just how well its rivals are doing.
No fair share
According to Business Insider's assessment of comScore's numbers, iPad currently accounts for 95 percent or more of all tablet traffic in 12 of the most important regions around the globe.
The site claims India is the country where iPad has its lowest share, coming in at 89 percent.
In the US, iPad holds 97 percent of all traffic, compared to 99 percent in the UK and 100 percent in Japan.
Business Insider notes that Android holds second spot in most of the territories aside from Canada, where it's suggested RIM already has a greater hold of the market.
Nonetheless, based on this assessment, not one of iPad's rivals is close to challenging iPad at the top of the tree.
