At Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2016, Jelle Kooistra, Head of Product Development for Mobile at Newzoo, gave a talk on the global games market.
He started by saying that "consumers will spend $37 billion on mobile games this year", more than a third of all gaming revenues across PC, console and mobile.
Always growing
This revenue is expected to grow to $52 billion by 2019 and will continue to be the highest grossing segment of the entire gaming market.
Linking back to the track, Kooistra stated that "most of that revenue is being made in Asia-Pacific", with the majority of this revenue generated in China, Japan, and South Korea.
