Mobile publisher Glu Mobile has joined forces with EON Productions and MGM Interactive in order to bring James Bond to the mobile screen.
Glu has revealed its Bond game will be the first free-to-play title for the IP, and that it will be available for a variety of platforms, so expect it to hit iOS, Android, and perhaps even Windows Phone.
While details on the game are few and far between, that's partly because it won't be released until summer 2015.
A license for thrills?
Glu CEO Niccolo de Masi was understandably delighted at being given the chance to turn one of the world's biggest movie franchises into mobile game.
"Bond offers a deep catalogue of thematic inspiration for gaming. We are honored by the opportunity to be the first to bring such a storied franchise to free-to-play mobile gaming," said de Masi.
"We look forward to delivering a never-before-seen gameplay experience on mobile for the passionate worldwide community of Bond fans."
"Glu has an established track record producing high-fidelity mobile games and we are confident in the company's ability to deliver an experience worthy of the Bond name," said MGM chairman and CEO, Gary Barber.
