IGG sees Q3 FY13 sales up 57% to $22.5 million as Castle Clash generates $7 million

IGG (HK: 08002) has announced its unaudited financials for the nine month period ending 30 September 2013.

Revenues were up 68 percent year-on-year to $51.3 million.

The company made a loss of $2.7 million, compared to a loss of $8.7 million 12 months ago.

However, breaking out Q3 figures, IGG's sales were up 57 percent to $22.5 million and it made a profit of $4.5 million.

Going the mobile

In terms of its performance, IGG said that online game Wings of Destiny and mobile game Castle Clash were the principle drivers of revenue.

Indeed, Castle Clash generated $7.2 million in gross billing revenue from 5.2 million monthly active players.

IGG also pointed out that it's rapidly transitioning to mobile games, which during the period according for 34 percent of total sales, compared to 2 percent nine months ago.
