Global publisher Yodo1 has announced a deal to bring Cut the Rope to the Kakao gaming platform for the first time.
Originally focused on the Chinese market, Yodo1 has widened its activity in recent months, and is in the process of setting up offices in South Korea and Japan.
Tying up loose ends
The deal with developer ZeptoLab will see the companies co-create a customised version of Cut the Rope 2 for the Korean mobile messaging platform.
In addition, Yodo1 will distribute all of ZeptoLab's currently available games in China.
"We're very proud to partner with ZeptoLab as we both expand our operations into Asia," said Yodo1 CEO Henry Fong.
"We co-developed new editions of Cut the Rope: Time Travel and Cut the Rope 2 to become hits in China, and we'll apply the same culturalization strategy when we launch Cut the Rope 2 on KakaoTalk."
