Com2uS opens Taiwan office to better target Chinese-speaking countries

South Korean mobile games publisher Com2uS has made a step towards conquering the wider Asian market by opening a new office in Taiwan.

The company believes Taiwan presents a lucrative growth opportunity for publishers, since the Taiwanese mobile gaming user base increased by 20 percent in 2014 compared to the previous year.

Com2uS boasts an arsenal of successful titles, including Summoners War and Ace Fishing.

Now it says that it “intends to create a stronger foundation for Chinese-speaking countries, as well as a new hub for continued support to Southeast Asian countries, such as Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia."

It will do so through the launch of a “massive campaign to raise brand awareness” across Asia, coinciding with the launch of several new games in the coming months.

These aggressive expansion plans come on the back of a strong 2014 for Com2uS, which saw the mobile developer and publisher’s Q3 sales rise by 102 percent and net profit by a jaw-dropping 3,165 per cent.
