Koei Tecmo Games has revealed a new brand called Midas that's dedicated to developing mobile games.
Midas will officially open its doors on April 1st 2017 and aims to "create hit works with free and vigorous ideas in the smartphone market".
Keeping up with the kids
Koei Tecmo is also keen to show its dedication to the mobile market by hiring a young staff of "digital natives" who will understand the market better.
The name Midas has been deliberately chosen too, as the company hopes that "the content that young power handles will shine like gold".
Koei Tecmo hasn't been a particularly big player in the mobile world of late. We last wrote about the studio back in July 2014 for it Q1 FY15 financials, when its online and mobile games division generated $16 million in revenue.
