Glu entrenches itself in BlackBerry App World

Showing its continued support for BlackBerry’s new App World digital download service, Glu has announced that 30 games will initially be made available for download.

“BlackBerry App World will provide users with a one-stop-shop to find all of their favorite applications,” says senior vice president of global publishing, Jill Braff. “We look forward to providing a quick and easy way for consumers to easily access games for their BlackBerry smartphones.”

Glu provided six of these games as launch titles for the App World, placing them all at a rather unexpected price point of £7.85; a pricing structure it later defended when Braff told PocketGamer.biz, “The pricing for smartphone games in the US is commonly at $9.99 today.”
