Tag Games doubles office space for ChilliWorks expansion

Dundee-based Tag Games has been in the mobile gaming business since 2006, but the business has recently expanded following the launch of Chilliworks, the company’s open source development engine.

Most recently, the studio launched its Chillisource development tool at Pocket Gamer Connects, which targets cross-platform game development on iOS, Android, Kindle and Windows.

This expansion has required the Scottish studio to secure new office space to prepare for a spurt of future hires.

I would make 500 hires

"The time is right for us to scale our team in Dundee," said CEO Paul Farley in a statement about the studio, which currently has a headcount of 35.

"Following key hires, we'll be building additional teams around three core areas of our business - partnership, own IP and technology. Technology has been a fundamental part of our investment into games as a service.

“Our first major milestone for 2015 was launching ChilliSource, our free open-source game engine and we have more products from the ChilliWorks suite in development for release later this year."
