Eric Seufert joins Rovio as VP of User Acquisition and Engagement

Rovio has announced a new VP of user acquisition and engagement to don the famous red hoodie.

Eric Seufert is leaving his post as head of marketing at Wooga in Berlin and will now make the move to Rovio HQ in Helsinki, Finland.

He brings a wealth of experience in the industry, having previously held positions at Skype, Digital Chocolate and Grey Area.

Seufert's new responsibilities at Rovio will be balanced with his continued commitments to other projects, including his role as a mentor at the GameFounders accelerator where he advises start-up studios on matters related to UA, publishing, and analytics-driven design.

A little bird told us

"Rovio is a fantastic company with a massive portfolio of titles and a very exciting product roadmap for 2015 and beyond, including a feature film," Seufert tells Pocket Gamer.biz.

"As the mobile gaming space becomes more competitive and the marketing strategies for launching games expand beyond merely running paid user acquisition campaigns, I think Rovio's IP and its gigantic existing install base position it uniquely to release hit games.

"Also, Berlin gets really hot in the summer and I like wearing hoodies year round."
