Dutch media firm Endemol Shine has opened a new London-based mobile game developer and publisher called Good Catch Games.
The firm, a 21st Century Fox subsidiary, is focused primarily on television but is branching out into games. The new studio has 15 staff and is looking to add to that number.
New medium, new challenge
This is not the first time the company has shown an interest in game development, but it is the first time the games team has been fully spun out, given its own branding, and established as its own entity.
Now a standalone studio, Good Catch Games is focused not only on developing games around existing Endemol brands, but will also be granted the opportunity to develop its own original IP.
"Good Catch is an exciting opportunity to work with an ambitious and talented team and be part of the growth into a fully fledged game studio," Good Catch MD Anil Mistry told PocketGamer.biz.
"We are well positioned to create exciting and compelling games for global markets."
The developer is currently working on the soft-launched title KSI Unleashed, a mobile game based on the popular (and controversial) YouTuber.
