Zed acquires Player X for mobile games, TV and video
Player X's acquisition gives Zed even more muscle when it comes to mobile value-added services, particularly in terms of games, as well as TV and video.

Player X has agreements with operators such as O2 UK, Orange World, Telefónica Móviles, and Vodafone Global, as well as licensing deals with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Paramount Digital Entertainment and FremantleMedia.

Player X will to continue to distribute premium content and deliver services for carriers and content partners as well as drive the games portal management business together with Zed", replied Tony Pearce, Player X's CEO.
Financial terms were not disclosed although rumours suggest the figure is around £10 million.
