Puzzle & Dragons surpasses 4 million downloads in North America

GungHo has revealed that its mobile big-hitter, Puzzle & Dragons,  has surpassed 4 million downloads in North America.

The Japanese firm has explained that the game continues to gain traction in the West as a result of 'a variety of unique in-game collaborations'.

The addictive puzzler broke the 4 million barrier only 6 weeks after it surpassed 3 million downloads, proving that the game still has plenty of appeal.

30 million downloads worldwide

To mark the milestone GungHo is planning a two-week long in-game event, the details of which will be announced soon via the firm's various app and social networking channels.

"A mobile gaming phenomenon, Puzzle & Dragons  continues to see tremendous growth thanks to the game's addictive combination of puzzle, dungeon-crawling, and monster-collecting gameplay," read a GungHo statement.

"Players capture, collect, and evolve hundreds of elemental monsters while using quick thinking to chain combos and maximise the abilities and skills of their monsters. Puzzle & Dragons  has surpassed 30 million downloads worldwide."

What do you call someone who has an unhealthy obsession with video games and Sean Bean? That'd be a 'Chris Kerr'. Chris is one of those deluded souls who actually believes that one day Sean Bean will survive a movie. Poor guy.
