GameMaker: Marketplace opens its doors for asset sales

YoYo Games has lifted the lid on the GameMaker: Marketplace, its 'one stop shop' for developers looking to purchase assets for use in GameMaker: Studio.

The GameMaker: Marketplace is already available in an open beta, and developers using a licensed version of GameMaker: Studio 1.4 will be able to access it right away.

GameMaker devs will be able to shop for a wide variety of resources, including audio, backgrounds, extensions, fonts, objects, paths, rooms, scripts, shaders, and sprites.

Support materials such as tutorials, handbooks, and demos are also expected to be added to the store in the coming months.

The news follows the expansion of GameMaker: Studio to all Microsoft platforms including Xbox One.
