Apple to increase App Store prices in EU, Canada and Norway

Prices will also change in Russia and Iceland

Apple to increase App Store prices in EU, Canada and Norway

Change is coming to the App Store.

According to an email received by iOS developers, Apple has announced it's tweaking app and game prices on the App Store in certain countries.

Places that will get an increase in App Store prices include all countries in the EU, Canada and Norway.

In terms of the EU, this is somewhat ironic as the Euro region has just announced it's now experiencing price deflation.

App Store prices will decrease in Iceland, while Apple merely says they will "change" in Russia (presumably increase), which has been suffering from a massive devaluation of the ruble compared to the US dollar.

Apple says the changes will roll out over the next 36 hours and are due to changes in value-added taxes and exchange rates.
