More than 26,000 games industry professionals walked through the doors of the Moscone Center for GDC 2015.
Held in San Francisco, last week's figures mark a new record for the event.
More than 650 sessions were held to discuss the latest industry trends - you can read our Key Trends article here - while over the road almost 350 companies exhibited their wares in the GDC Expo.
And Pocket Gamer also made its own impact with five afterhours events.
Happy 30th birthday
Now the organisers have announced details of GDC 2016, which will mark the 30th anniversary of the conference.
Next year's event will once again return to the Moscone Center, and will run from 14 March to 18 March.
The call for submissions will open in summer.
“This year’s success is a testament to the hard work of the staff, volunteers, speakers, indies and students who maintained a fun and safe environment for everyone at the show," said Meggan Scavio, general manager of the Game Developers Conference in a statment.
“After all the software and hardware demos, networking over drinks, and lively sessions, it’s good to meet with the people who bring life to the most popular form of entertainment in the 21st century, and to discuss how to make these amazing games even better in the years to come.”
