Quality control forces Sega to pull games from app stores

Sega is going to remove an undisclosed number of games from mobile marketplaces, and it looks like quality is the cause.

While the company wouldn’t confirm exactly which games would be pulled, it confirmed on its official blog that over the coming weeks a number will be ejected from the Google Play, Apple, Samsung and Amazon app stores.

Recall

"It is important for us to ensure that all of our fans, regardless of platform or operating system, have a great playing experience and after evaluating our complete list of titles, we have determined that a number of them no longer meet our standards,” Sega explained in the post.

The good news is that the unfortunate games may have the opportunity “to return in an updated form."

In the meantime, players who have purchased the games marked for delisting will still be able to play them.

However, since they won’t be receiving any more updates, once the pulled games become incompatible with new operating systems and hardware, their time will be up.
