Over 1,300 investors, developers, publishers etc from 54 countries now signed up for PG Connects London

After a crazy couple of days of sign-ups, we're delighted to announce that there are now over 1,300 professional mobile games industry delegates signed up for PG Connects London and the tickets are still flying out.  

We're also delighted to announce the addition of UK games industry legend Ian Livingstone and Tom van Dam of Chinese mobile games giants Netease have signed up as late additions to add yet further quality to our star-studded speaker line-up.

Who's coming?
Here's an updated reminder of who's coming to Pocket Gamer Connects London 2016, what they're looking for, and why you should probably join them.

As anyone who's attended the previous PG Connects shows will know, the event unites the full mobile games eco-system from indie devs, media and tool-makers through to triple-A publishers, investors and monetisation experts from all over the globe.

The 2016 edition will be no exception, with over 1,300 delegates now signed up representing 54 countries across 5 continents (indeed only around half of the attendees will be from the UK).

Here's a quick run-through the sort of people and companies you can expect to meet...

Investors

  • Who's coming?: A range of investors from the biggest VC firms to independent angels including the likes of London Venture Partners, Oxford Capital, Infin Capital, Tesserect, Kuju and many more.
  • Why?: We have hundreds of developers looking for funding plus a dedicated Finnvestor pitch event showcasing 20 of the next wave of Finnish studios.
  • How to join them: If you're an investor interested in opportunities at seed or series A and would like to join the Finnvestor event on Monday or attend the event in general, just sign up via this form.

Indie + 'Triple I' Developers

  • Who's coming?: Literally hundreds developers from around the world from triple I stars like Kabam, King, Miniclip, Next Games, Creative, Digital Legends, Frogmind, Nordeus, Flaregames, Good Games,  to the smallest indie start-ups. 
  • Why?: Around 50 will be competing in our very big indie pitches, many more showing their wares in the Indie showcase expo area 20/20 Speed Match plus the Indie Appocalypse and funding tracks.

Western Publishers

  • Who's coming?: A who's who of the biggest names in the industry from mobile specialists Scopely, Tilting Point, Game Insight, Rovio, Roadhouse and Chillingo to established big guns Disney, Sega, Namco Bandai, Wargaming, Paradox, Spil Games, Gameforge and EA. 
  • Why?: Looking to meet new developers, catch up on the latest trends and attend our global publisher track such as East meets West: Global Publisher sessions.

Asian market Publishers

  • Who's coming?: As usual we'll have a strong showing from the major Asia markets with Tencent, Netease, Cheetah Mobile, Gamevil, Gree, Nexon, Kunlun, 6Waves, Yodo and Zplay among others. This year we have a number of Indian and South East Asian representatives too including the likes of Nazara, Forest Interactive and AsiaSoft.
  • Why?: Looking for partners and investment opportunities in the west plus games to take back to Asia.

Platforms & Networks

  • Who's coming?: Every major platform will be present and correct including: Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung plus social media networks Facebook and Twitter and streaming service MobCrush.
  • Why?: Obviously they are mainly here to see publishers, developers and the hottest new games.

Media

  • Who's coming?: The specialist mobile games press will be there of course (Pocket Gamer, AppSpy, Pocket Tactics, etc) plus wider games and industry media (IGN, Trusted Reviews, Develop, GamesBrief, PG.Biz), the nationals (including the Guardian, Telegraph, BBC), specialist business media (Forbes, Reuters) and even a smattering of youtubers (Yogscast, GamesGrabr).
  • Why?: Catch up on trends, see the latest games and interview the hottest developers. 

The Best British Talent

  • Who's coming?: The brightest and best from all round the British Isles including mobile stars like Ustwo, Space Ape, Fireproof Games, Bossa, Boss Alien and Mike Bithell, old school legends including Rebellion, Curve's Stuart Disney, Andy Payne. We'll also have support from UKIE, TIGA and showcase the best of regional hubs.
  • Why?: Celebrating the Best of British

Monetisation Networks, Tools and Middleware

  • Who's coming?: All the major ad networks and monetisation tools from Adways, Fiksu and Kochava to Tapjoy, Vungle and Zucks will be at the show, plus tool makers like Unity, Softlayer and FGL.
  • Why?: The Monetise, Retain, Acquire session will be a focal point, but the money-makers and middleware experts will feature throughout the show and in the expo too.

Brand Owners

  • Who's coming?: A wide variety of IP owners from BBC, Chanel 4 and Disney to Endemol, Fox and Games Workshop.
  • Why?: You'll be able to spot them around the brand section of East meets West global publisher track but they'll also be on the look out for new developer partners.

Analytics Experts

  • Who's coming?: The names behind the biggest and best numbers including Talking Data, NewZoo, NPD, Reflection.io, Soomla and Delta DNA.
  • Why?: You'll be able to spot them around the brand section of East meets West global publisher track but they'll also be on the look out for new developer partners.

Suffice to say there'll be plenty more besides and you can meet a good number of them at the show, using our networking meeting system and apps and at after hours events.
