Mobile shooter Critical Ops hits 10 million downloads before leaving soft launch

Mobile shooter Critical Ops has achieved 10 million downloads since it was first soft-launched on October 15th 2015.

The game is also claimed to have around 20,000 players at any given second with 300,000 DAUs. The numbers are impressive given that the game is still considered to be in soft-launch.

Massive global distribution

"Mobile devices have a massive global distribution, meaning large numbers of players and wider audiences for tournaments," said Critical Force founder Veli-Pekka Piirainen.

"Better yet, the new generation of gamers is mobile-first. I strongly believe that with Critical Ops we have a great chance of making a big impact on the whole eSports market."

The developer has already partnered with eSports organiser ESL and is currently running a Critical Ops tournament in both North America and Europe.
