Apptopia spills the beans

Chillingo generated $6 million in revenue in January 2017 following launch of WarFriends

Chillingo's latest game WarFriends has become the company's most downloaded game after launching worldwide on January 17th 2017.

Data from Apptopia shows that the game achieved over 1.8 million downloads in January alone. It is estimated to have around 1.2 million MAUs at present.

Apptopia also states that Chillingo has generated over $6 million in revenues in the last 30 days, with WarFriends generating around $285,000, putting it on track to be Chillingo's best grossing game.

Friendly fire

WarFriends entered soft launch in April 2016 and was eventually released eight months later. Apptopia's data suggests that it has a fairly strong retention rate in terms of MAUs.

Apptopia raised $2.7 million in seed funding in November 2016. It provides tools that it claims make the app economy more transparent for mobile publishers.
