Gram Games to invest $5 million in its London HQ and create 30 new jobs

Formerly Istanbul-based developer Gram Games is investing £4 million ($5 million) over the next 12 months into the expansion of its new London HQ.

The investment is set to create 30 extra jobs at the studio. An unspecified number of hires have already been made across all areas of the team.

Gram Games is looking to expand its business to midcore titles after releasing several casual hits. It sees London as a place to expand due to its large talent pool and better opportunities for global reach.

Everyone in the pool

"The move to open our global HQ in London is another exciting step forward for the company," said Gram Games CEO Mehmet Ecevit.

"We’ve always been focused on people, as well as culture, and the talent pool available in the UK is second to none.

"We’ll be transporting our unique culture to the new office, with the extension of prototype Friday as well as other industry initiatives, we’re delighted to keep culture development at the core of our mission."

Gram Games opened its London office in August 2016. It most recently announced plans to expand its 22% Project which aims to encourage more women to join the games industry.
