Helsinki-based developer Armada Interactive has completed its seed funding having raised $10 million over two rounds.
The latest round was led by Korea Investment Partners along with new investor Creandum. Existing investors from the first round of the seed stage also contributed further funds, including Initial Capital and Index Ventures.
Armada intends to use the funds to advance its business and continue development on its first game. The studio is focused on synchronous PvP and the eSports potential of mobile.
Significant resources
"This investment enables us to bolster our international team with exceptional talent and provides significant resources for future game launches," said Samuli Syvähuoko, co-founder and CEO of Armada Interactive.
"Our core mission is to deliver truly innovative global gaming experiences that will attract a large player following in both Asian and Western markets. Korea Investment Partners will be a key strategic partner as we execute this plan."
Armada initially raised $3 million in its first seed funding round in April 2016. Details on its first game remain light, beyond the company's desire to advance core gaming on mobile.
