Demiurge Studios tapped to develop soft-launched clicker Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire

Second game with Sega will hopefully do better than the first

Demiurge Studios tapped to develop soft-launched clicker Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire

Marvel Puzzle Fight developer Demiurge Studios has been revealed as the studio behind the upcoming Sega-published Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire.

In a recent update to the currently soft-launched title, the developer asks players to send bug reports and feedback via email. The email address used is "crazytaxigazillionaire-feedback@demiurgestudios.com".

Demiurge has not acknowledged its involvement on its own website. Its name is presumably featured in the game's credits, but this is the first evidence of the studio's involvement available outside of the game.

Second time's the charm

Demiurge was acquired by Sega Networks in February 2015 and has so far released just one title with the publisher called Puzzle & Glory. The game was not a success - it was shut down by Sega in April 2016.

When Crazy Taxi Gazillionaire was first soft-launched, it was presumed that development was being handled by fellow Sega studio Hardlight. The studio had previously developed Crazy Taxi: City Rush and told us it was working on new projects based on Sega IPs.
