Magic Leap Chief Game Wizard Graeme Devine to deliver mixed reality Evolve keynote at Develop:Brighton

Magic Leap’s Chief Game Wizard Graeme Devine will deliver a keynote for Evolve conference at this year’s Develop:Brighton.

Devine has worked at numerous games companies during his career including Atari, Virgin Games, id Software, Ensemble Studios, Microsoft, Apple and now augmented reality start-up Magic Leap.

His Evolve keynote, entitled 'Into The Future', will look at whats to come for mixed reality technology and how it could change even ordinary tasks. He’ll cover everything from theme parks to office work and the effect MR will have on the world.

Leaping into streaming

As well as Devine, Twitch SVP of Commerce and Develop Success Ethan Evans has also been confirmed as a keynote speaker at Evolve.

Evans is in charge of commerce activities at Twitch, responsible for Twitch Prime, Cheering & Bits, and subscriptions, as well as technical integration with games developers.

His session will be called ‘Your Game as Community: Learnings from the Intersection of Viewing, Playing and Buying’. Evans will share data related to how Twitch helps build game communities, as well as tips on working with streamers and early learnings from game sales on Twitch.

“As part of Develop:Brighton, Evolve is aimed at exploring what is new and cutting edge within games development,” said Tandem Events Director Andy Lane.

“In Graeme and Ethan, we have two high class keynote speakers to complement the sessions we’ve already announced. They’re going to set this year’s Develop:Brighton off to a truly inspirational start.”

The Develop:Brighton conference will take place between July 11th to 13th 2017 at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton. The Evolve conference will take place on July 11th.
