Guns of Boom blasts past 10 million downloads two months after global launch

Game Insight's mobile multiplayer FPS Guns of Boom has surpassed 10 million downloads just over two months after it launched worldwide.

The developer believes the game's continued success is down to its "Control Points" mode, which encourages clan-based eSports-style competition. It also has a viral aspect, with over 100,000 videos made of the game on YouTube.

Game Insight plans to continue updating Guns of Boom in the coming months with new modes, weapons, and community features to keep its current players interested and attract more downloads.

Exceeded all expectations

"Guns of Boom has exceeded all of our expectations and shows no signs of slowing down," said Anatoly Ropotov, Game Insight CEO.

"The game has clearly unlocked pent up demand for a quality mobile shooter. And with the rate at which people are sharing their gameplay, the game has really gone viral."

Guns of Boom previously cleared five million downloads two weeks after its global release. At the time, it had also scored over 100,000 five-star reviews on Google Play.
