FDG Entertainment's Oceanhorn has sold more copies on Switch than all other consoles combined

Unclear if that means it's outsold its mobile editions

FDG Entertainment's Oceanhorn has sold more copies on Switch than all other consoles combined

FDG Entertainment has revealed that its action-adventure game Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas has now sold more copies on Nintendo Switch than all other consoles combined.

The developer announced this in a tweet, but did not mention any exact sales figures. The tweet also doesn't make it clear whether "all other consoles" include its iOS and Android sales.

Oceanhorn was launched on iOS in 2013, and had amassed over one million downloads by June 2014. FDG later stated that it had sold over one million units across all platforms in October 2016.

It's not the only game to have achieved stronger sales on Switch than other consoles. Lizardcube's Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap also saw more sales on Switch than Xbox One, PS4, and PC combined, according to an interview with Gamasutra.

The Switch audience is still growing rapidly just six months after it launched. Nintendo has now sold over 1.5 million units in Japan alone.
