Hi-Rez Studios soft-launches mobile MOBA take on PC shooter Paladins Strike

Hi-Rez Studios has soft-launched the mobile take on its hero shooter Paladins with more traditional MOBA Paladins Strike.

The game is available on iOS and Android in Australia. It was first launched in the country on October 26th 2017.

Paladins Strike swaps the original game's first-person perspective for a top-down view of a battleground. Players take part in 5v5 battles using one of 15 different heroes across multiple play modes.

Time to strike

Hi-Rez announced the game back in August 2017. At the time, it put out a call for players to join its initial alpha test stage.

This is the second mobile game the studio has announced in 2017. It kicked off the year with SMITE Rivals, a Clash Royale-esque title set in Hi-Rez's SMITE universe.

However, the game was put on hold indefinitely in March 2017. The team claimed that the game needed "significant additional development" before release, and that it was moving over to SMITE Tactics instead.
