Rovio, Supercell, RedLynx, and more celebrate Finland's 100th birthday

Finnish developers are celebrating the country's 100th anniversary since it declared its independence from Russia in 1917.

Developers such as Supercell, Rovio, Seriously, RedLynx, and Snowfall have taken to Twitter to wish a "Hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää Suomi" to the country.

Despite being a relatively small country, Finland has had an enormous impact on the mobile games industry. From the early days of Nokia to modern billionaires like Supercell, developers in the country have frequently been the trendsetters in games.

Our sister site PocketGamer has also collected over 100 things that Finland has given to the mobile games industry, including its developers, games, characters, and N-Gage titles.

And we're celebrating too – you can get 20% off a ticket to PG Connects London on January 22nd-23rd 2018 if you enter the code 100/5 when buying your ticket.

Hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää Suomi!
