Glu Mobile partners with Disney to use its stories and characters in upcoming mobile game

Glu Mobile is partnering with Disney to develop a new mobile game which will use characters from both Disney and Pixar.

The game will be led by Glu senior vice president and creative leader Mike Olsen, who was previously the creative director on EA's Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes.

No other details have been provided about the game, aside from the fact that it will be free-to-play on Android and iOS. A release window has yet to even be suggested.

Globally-recognised brand

"Disney is an iconic and globally-recognised brand that transcends many demographics," said Glu CEO Nick Earl.

"I am thrilled to announce that Glu will be working with Disney and look forward to pairing nostalgic and fresh Disney and Pixar content with Glu's creative approach to game development."

Glu has also partnered with the WWE on an upcoming mobile game, which is expected to launch in the first half of 2018. It also partnered with singer Taylor Swift on its most recent release, The Swift Life.
