May 14th to 15th mobile games industry conference set to be biggest US outing to date

Super Evil Megacorp, ESL, Reality Clash, FunPlus and Seriously confirmed for PG Connects San Francisco 2018

A little later than planned (blame slight momentary distraction due to confirming our forthcoming Helsinki and London PGC events) but we're back with another Pocket Gamer Connects San Francisco speaker announcement (if you missed our first unveiling, you'll find it here).

The agenda of our May 14th to 15th conference – our fourth annual outing in North America – has been boosted by the addition of more mighty fine minds.

Legendary fireside chat

Super Evil Megacorp's Kristian Segerstrale will join fellow legend (and previously confirmed) Peter Vesterbacka for an unmissable fireside chat that will cover the current state of the mobile games industry, before the two share their perspectives on what everyone should be focusing on next.

Tony Pearce will contribute handsomely to our new cryptocurrency track by using his Reality Clash experience to divulge the good, bad and the ugly of ICOs, while FunPlus's Shanti Bergel will add to the monetary focus of Day Two by discussing new ways that developers can gain capital.

Kicking off the esports track with an authoritative overview of this burgeoning sector will be ESL's Sean Charles, whereas a highlight of another new topic for PGC SF will be Philip Hickey at Seriously's masterclass on how to amplify your influencer marketing strategy.

Last but by no means least, a post-mortem on the challenges and solutions of porting Lara Croft to mobile by iLLOGIKA's Valentine Dessertenne should be must-attend material, and more applicable knowledge goodness will come from Yann Corno as he discusses Asmodee's successful adaptation of board games to digital.

We have more fine folk to contribute to our planned 10-track agenda, of course, and you can expect more on those over the next few weeks.

And, to keep things fresh, we might intersperse those announcements with reasons we think you ought to consider joining us Stateside this May. Like, say, the gorgeous selection of fringe events to get involved with, or the excellent networking opportunities – in this case connecting with 1,000 fully cross-industry representatives – our conferences specialise in delivering. Every. Single. Time.

But if we had you at 'Super Evil', then know that the Early Bird ticket rate is live (use code PGBIZ10 for a reader-specific 10 per cent discount).

With three boys under the age of 12, former Edge editor Joao has given up his dream of making it to F1 and instead spends his weekends transforming his living room floor into a venue for hosting increasingly complex Scalextric tracks. When in work mode, he looks after the production (aka the behind-the-scenes magic) of Steel Media's series of conferences.
