Critical Force partners up with ElisaViihde and OnePlus for Critical Ops esports push

Critical Force has joined up with telecommunication firm ElisaViihde and mobile manufacturer OnePlus to organise an array of esports tournaments for FPS game Critical Ops in Finland.

Called the OnePlus Masters tour, the tournaments will be held in eight different locations throughout Finland for the remainder of 2018.

Such cities include Tampere, Jyväskylä, Kuopio, Turku, Helsinki and Kajaani.

Alongside the physical tour, players will also be able to ply their trade in a series of online tournaments.

The culmination of both online and physical tournaments will be held in Helsinki in a GameXpo-event on the 2nd and the 4th of November 2018.

“We view the entry of similar kinds of competitive games to the market as a positive development,” said Critical Force CEO Veli-Pekka Piiranen.

“This enforces our original thoughts of being right when we directed our game development towards mobile eSports and putting a lot of effort into it, in different ways.”

“Even though Finland is a small market considering Critical Ops’ overall player numbers, it is incredible to get the chance for this kind of collaboration with huge success stories such as ElisaViihde and OnePlus.”
