PocketGamer.Biz: What does your role at the company entail?

Jean-Francois Tremblay: My role at Nutaku is to manage relationships with developers, small and large, as well as overseeing a team of internal and external Business Development executives that have a single goal in mind: growing the portfolio of games on the platform.

My role also includes supporting developers through our internal funding process which provides them access to our €10 million ($11.5 million) investment fund and support as they enter this new market.

What do you think have been the most exciting developments in gaming since the last Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki?

I am sorry to say that I was not at the last Pocket Gamer event so it would be dishonest to make up an answer here! That being said, would love to share insights next year after my first PG event!

What are your thoughts on the way the industry has grown in the last 12 months?

Growth is always a sign of a healthy industry. Now that being said, let us ensure that this growth is not solely fueled towards the same main developers and publishers out there.

There is enough market out there to fuel the growth of many up and coming developers!

What do you think the next 12 months in mobile gaming are going to look like?

Discoverability will continue to be a challenge for up and coming developers

Which part of Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki are you most looking forward to and why?

We are so excited to have the opportunity to meet with developers, established ones and newcomers to the space, as well as attending panels, conferences, and presentations.

Because when ideas and point of views are exchanged, knowledge follows and we all can grow from this.
