Adfonic releases new SDK 2.0 using OpenUDID and ODIN-1

Deals with UDIDs and increased eCPMs

Adfonic releases new SDK 2.0 using OpenUDID and ODIN-1
Advertising marketplace Adfonic is announcing the launch of Adfonic SDK version 2.0 for iOS and Android.

The new SDK is compliant with the Internet Advertising Bureau's Mobile Rich Media Ad Interface Definitions standard set in place to reduce the complexity of running media campaigns for developers.

Updated

Developers will also gain access to a range of mobile advertising campaigns which can deliver higher eCPMs that support a variety of formats including full-screen and compatibility with both smartphone and tablet devices.

"Rich media is changing the game for advertisers and creating huge demand and the opportunity is now here for developers to see a significant uplift in earnings as a result," said Adfonic CMO Paul Childs.

“Larger, more engaging rich media and video ad formats can often drive earnings over ten times higher than those of standard mobile display banners.

Oh no UDIDn't

Also included in the latest SDK will be a range of alternatives to UDIDs including OpenUDID and ODIN-1.

"With this release we’ve thought about how developers can tackle the dual challenges of UDID alternatives and increased eCPMs," said Adfonic CTO Wes Biggs.

"It’s been our goal to simplify monetisation so developers can focus on their core business of innovation.”

Google's AdMob Ad Network Mediation layer will also be compatible with Adfonic SDK v2 allowing developers to run Adfonic alongside other ad networks.

The updated SDK is available for free from Adfonic's developer site.
