Google finally releases Android 2.1 SDK

Developers get 2.1 after the public

Google finally releases Android 2.1 SDK
Google came under fire from a great many Android developers after the Nexus One heralded the release of the latest 2.1 version of the smartphone operating system - before the devs had actually seen it.

A flurry of complaints were apparently received about compatibility issues on the lasted firmware, though developers were unable to test or research the problems since no SDK had been released.

Yesterday, the Android development community breathed a little easier when Google finally rolled out the 2.1 SDK, giving developers access to the new APIs and bug fixes the software delivers. Hopefully any compatibility issues with Android software will now begin to get ironed out.

The Android 2.1 SDK can be downloaded from the official blog now.

Yes. Spanner's his real name. And, yes, he's heard that joke before.
