Development for all: Become a game designer with Createrria

In a move designed to open up games development to new audiences, Polish indie studio Incuvo has launched a game creation app - Createrria – designed allows players to create, and publish, their own titles.

Createrria gives players the ability to create a wide range of games, or construct their own version of world famous franchises, using the various themes, backgrounds, items, and enemies Createrria has to offer.

The developer claims players don't need any technical experience or programming skills to enjoy Createrria, as the app's simple creation tools means players can design, and share levels with just a few taps.

Create and share

"I often start Createrria early in the morning just to check new crazy game ideas that appeared in the community the previous night," said Wojciech Borczyk, Incuvo co-founder.

"It's a great feeling when players surprise you with new creations."

Jakub Duda, Incuvo's second co-founder, explained that the idea for Createrria was born out of the realisation that despite all of the creation tools available to mobile users, they still couldn't create games.

"Nowadays you can create almost anything on mobile devices; Take photos, paint, compose music, even shape virtual pottery – you  name it," explained Duda.

But until now there hasn’t really been a good app for game creation. We want to change that with Createrria."

What do you call someone who has an unhealthy obsession with video games and Sean Bean? That'd be a 'Chris Kerr'. Chris is one of those deluded souls who actually believes that one day Sean Bean will survive a movie. Poor guy.
