Invites devs to compete for space on its platform

GREE launches Love Indies outreach in US
GREE has launched a new initiative that will see the social gaming behemoth offer indie developers a place on its platform.

The venture is called 'GREE Loves Indies', and is set to target independent mobile developers based in the US.

Naming conventions

Interested developers can participate by entering the 'Indie of the Month' contest, which will see the winning developer awarded a '4-6 week launch and release support campaign.'

This will consist of a review of the game to optimise gameplay and performance, assistance integrating GREE platform features into the title, and PR support.

GREE is also promising each winner some face-time with with a 'GREEnius', in order to optimise the game for maximum retention and monetisation.

GREEsponsibility

"GREE is a strong supporter of independent developers," explained the company's SVP of developer relations and marketing, Eros Resmini.

"They are responsible for pushing the limits of creativity and driving innovation within the mobile industry and I feel we have a responsibility to give them the tools and knowledge they need to work their magic."

The news comes just days after GREE signed deals with four US-based indie studios to bring content to its social gaming platform, with the company claiming it is committed to aiding indie outfits with its knowledge of the market.

Devs interested in the firm's latest venture can find out more about the program on the newly launched GREE Loves Indies website.
