Gameloft has added new features to its Gameloft Live web community, including emulated demos of more than 100 of its mobile games.

The demos use a Java emulator of a handset, and are controlled by the keyboard. It shows the publisher's intention to use its social network to more directly drive purchases of its mobile games.

Gameloft has also launched a new Flash Games section of the community, initially with one game available to play: Abracadaball.

It includes a features letting players see the best scores of their Gameloft Live friends from within the Flash game.

The final new feature is the addition of a FriendFeed-style news window, showing what users' friends have been up to, as well as wider Gameloft Live community news.

The publisher hasn't shouted much about its social network since its launch iPhone rather took all the limelight but it'll be interesting to see how Gameloft Live evolves in 2009.
