Gameloft to expand iPhone relationship with Ubisoft?

3D iPhone engine being put to further use

Gameloft to expand iPhone relationship with Ubisoft?
The relationship between Gameloft and Ubisoft is naturally a strong one, given that the two software houses are owned by Guillemot brothers.

We've seen a lot of co-operation between the two companies on the mobile platform, which has expanded recently to include the iPhone with games such as Assassin's Creed. Speaking to Appgamer, Gameloft's Julian Stocker and Alexandra Pontikis have been explaining that the 3D game engine used in the recent Terminator Salvation iPhone title is now to be put to further use.

Neither was able to confirm nor deny whether this means Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon or Splinter Cell are working their way toward Apple's platform.

Generally we're happy to take "no comment" as being a positive sign, and given that Gameloft has already done a great deal of work on these franchises of the mobile (coupled with their immense popularity among gamers) it seems likely we'll be seeing Tom Clancy on the store before too long.

Yes. Spanner's his real name. And, yes, he's heard that joke before.
