From slice to entire cake: Gamevil extends investment to fully acquire Monster Warlord dev Everple

Building on its recent investments in companies such as Nine Wheels, DBROS, Ocean View and most notably Com2uS, Gamevil has now announced the acquisition of Korean developer Everple.

This is the second time in as many months that the ambitious publisher has announced a deal with Everple.

Originally, it was grouped into the Nine Wheels and DBROS deals announced in early October.

Now, however, Gamevil has extended that earlier minority investment into a full acquisition.

Going whole hog

It notes that Everple's Monster Warlord title has been downloaded more than 10 million times.

More significantly, it's generated more than $16 million in terms of revenue, being found in the top 50 top grossing Google Play charts in over 20 countries.

Gamevil also points out that this enabled Everple to generate $3 million of profit in its financial year, suggesting it must have shelled out a decent amount to fully acquire it.
