Gbanga picks up nomination for Red Herring Top 100 Europe
Location based game Gbanga has been named as a finalist in this year's Red Herring Top 100 Europe – the list designed to honour the most promising technology ventures from across the region.

Evaluated both in terms of financial performance and management quality, as well as innovation and strategy execution, Gbanga's app will take its place in the roll of company presentations due to take place at the Red Herring Europe Forum in Amsterdam between May 23-25.

No red herring

"This year was very rewarding," said Red Herring publisher and CEO Alex Vieux.

"The global economic situation has abated and there are many great companies producing really innovative and amazing products. We had a very difficult time narrowing the pool and selecting the finalists.

"Gbanga shows great promise therefore deserves to be among the finalists."
Gbanga, which rewards players points for completing quests or collecting items in real world locations via GPS, will find out if it takes its place in the final winners list on May 25.
