Big Fish to publish Gogii Games' iOS output, 17 titles planned in 2011

Partnership designed to expand publisher's presence

Big Fish to publish Gogii Games' iOS output, 17 titles planned in 2011
Having already released a roster of titles on iPad in 2010, casual games specialist Gogii Games has signed a deal that will see a flood of releases hit iOS under the Big Fish banner in 2011.

In total, 17 new games will launch on the App Store throughout the course of the year, with Gogii hoping the publishing deal with Big Fish will significantly expand its presence on the platform.

An eye on iOS

"Leveraging our experience as casual game developers, we see mobile devices as a natural extension of our current speciality," said Gogii founder George Donovan.

"It's a revenue channel that is experiencing explosive growth and will allow us to reach a wider client base, without losing our focus on our demographic and their interests."

Big Fish, which has previously published Gogii games on Mac and PC, has shifted its focus towards tablets of late, suggesting it should act as a solid partner for the Canadian firm.

However, even on its own, Donovan believes his company has a knack for spotting sweet spots in the market.

"Our real strength as a studio has been our ability to foresee trends and emerging markets, and capitalise on them without outside investment," he concluded.
