Don Ryan promoted to COO at Oberon Media

Takes on platform business as well as publishing

Don Ryan promoted to COO at Oberon Media
More changes are afoot at Oberon Media, where publishing boss Don Ryan has been promoted to chief operating officer, replacing Ezra Kucharz.
Silicon Valley Insider broke the news, with an official statement from Oberon then confirming that Ryan will keep his existing publishing role:

"Casual games industry veteran Don Ryan, will become chief operating officer of the company and assume operational responsibility for Oberon's platform business in addition to his current responsibility for publishing."
Ryan's pedigree is well-known, given his previous work at Microsoft's casual games division.

However, with Oberon having only recently completed the restructure and rebranding of its mobile, online and iTV publishing business I-play, it remains to be seen what the impact of Ryan's two-hats role has on the publishing side of things.
