Casual games giant King has announced the appointment of Ciara Smyth as it's new chief people officer, or CPO for short.
Smyth - who will take charge of King's performance management, recruitment, retention, training and development - has over 15 years of experience in human resources leadership, with the company claiming she was the perfect candidate for the position.
"Ciara is a great addition to the King team," said CEO Riccardo Zacconi.
"Ciara has exceptional experience in helping companies build great workforces and were looking forward to welcoming her to the team."
Talent acquisition
Smyth recently worked as the executive VP of human resources for Zipcar, where she led the human capital group through a period of high growth.
"I am thrilled to be joining King, a company with a uniquely collaborative culture and strong commitment to the development of its employees at every level," said Smyth.
"I look forward to working closely with the team to continue to make King a great place to work and preserve its strong culture as the company adds great talent to its organisation."
Smyth's appointment comes ahead of an expected IPO by King, which experts believe could value the company anywhere between $5 billion and $7 billion.
