A 'step change' in cross-platform development: Marmalade 7 SDK is go

Having launched its own game publishing division in October, Marmalade's attention has now switched back to its development tool, with its latest SDK – Marmalade 7 – hitting the digital shelves.

The company claims its launch "marks a step change in the evolution of the cross-platform tool", featuring what it believes is an "ultra friendly and intuitive" user interface.

'Roadmap of changes'

As well as the additional of new tutorials, also included in Marmalade 7 is a focus on helping developers integrate third-party services into their apps, with a "wealth of APIs" now on offer.

"Marmalade 7 is the start of an exciting roadmap of changes and enhancements to our SDK, designed around our customers," detailed Marmalade's head of SDK Tony Waters.

"The changes will make it easier for first time users to get started on their projects, with many enhancements along the way that will make developing projects with Marmalade more intuitive, more flexible and the final deployment more powerful."
